Initiative Proposal, 2021
The Washington State Mental Health Summit Advisory Council is currently accepting proposals for new initiatives via the online form below. You will need to fill out all fields in order to submit a proposal. You may also download the fillable pdf form to use as a working document, or to email as your proposal. PDF proposals should be sent to initiatives@wamhsummit.org

Title of initiative
Brief description of innovation (500 words max)
In order to build an effective behavioral health workforce, we need to think beyond the traditional medical professions and engage and active a broad group of people. How does your initiative help build mental health care capacity?
What population(s) does your initiative address, and how will it address diverse populations?
Treating mental health and substance abuse conditions as early as possible is crucial on an individual level as well as on a population level. We want to move away from emergency care and towards preventative care. How does your initiative help move care upstream?
We are looking for new and scalable ideas that will make a sizable difference. What impact do you foresee your initiative will have?
How do you foresee your initiative might aid in the scaling of an existing practice?
Describe any IT innovations or unique strategies used with your programming to address mental health issues that might be showcased during your presentation.
The Advisory Council is most interested in initiatives that are well thought out and actionable within 12 months following presentation. Please identify initiative aspects to the following -

What components have you not been able to achieve or properly leverage in your initiative that you expect Summit presentation will more effectively advance?
