The Washington State Mental Health Summit Advisory Council is currently accepting non-commercial proposals for new initiatives via the online form below. You will need to fill out all fields in order to submit a proposal. You may also download the fillable pdf form to use as a working document, or to email as your proposal in lieu of online submission. PDF proposals should be emailed to initiatives@wamhsummit.org and are due by June 1st, 2023.

3) Please describe your goal as to how the Washington State Mental Health Summit would benefit your initiative and how that initiative, as a result, would change in scale or form:

4) What components have you not been able to achieve or properly leverage in your initiative that you expect Summit presentation will more effectively advance?

5) In order to build an effective behavioral health workforce, we need to think beyond the traditional medical professions, engaging and leveraging a broad group of people. How does your initiative help build mental health care capacity?

6) What population(s) does your initiative address, and how will it address diverse populations?

7) Treating mental health and substance use conditions as early as possible is crucial on an individual level as well as on a population level. We want to move away from emergency care and towards preventative care. How does your initiative help move care upstream?

8) We are looking for new and scalable ideas that will make a sizable difference. In what new ways might your intiative have inpact within the current mental and behavioral health space?

9) How do you foresee your initiative might aid in the scaling of an existing practice?

10) Describe any IT innovations or unique strategies used with your programming to address mental health issues that might be showcased during your presentation.

The Advisory Council is most interested in initiatives that are well thought out and actionable within 12 months following presentation. Please identify initiative aspects to the following -

15) What are your anticipated main barriers to success? What are potential ways to address and overcome these barriers? What supports, either monetary or technical, do you foresee might be helpful if available from the Summit?

16 ) The Washington State Mental Health Summit is considering the award of modest pilot grants to incoming initiatives that lack pre-existing monetary support. Please describe any organization affiliated with your initiative and how they currently support you.

I have reviewed the Summit Initiatives Expectations on the 2023 Summit page and agree to adhering to those guidelines should our proposal be selected for presentation at the November Mental Health Summit event.
